Mark Strachan commenced his professional career over 30 years ago as a teenager, working for the Herald & Weekly Times newspaper group, where his first notable assignment was capturing the devastating 'Ash Wednesday' Bushfires.

He is a dedicated portrait photographer working almost exclusively in black & white. His style is simple and to the point, which harks back to his use of film and hand printing in the '80s and '90s.

He is also Leica Ambassador and has used the M System rangefinder for over 15 years.
